Black Bean Burgers

So, I do not have as many savory recipes as I do sweet, and I think that needs to change! SO today I'm sharing one of my favourite burger recipes of all time!! I make these all the time, they are fast, easy, cheap and so so simple! 4 ingredient vegan and gluten free black bean burgers! And they taste so so good!

Black bean burgers
Ingredients
Serves 4
2 cans black beans drained and rinsed
1 tsp each ginger paste & garlic paste
1 tsp each- chilli, turmeric & coriander powder
1/2 onion diced finely
4 buns - chose gluten free if needed
lettuce
tomato
capsicum
avocado
barbecue sauce- check that it's gluten free if required.
(whatever burger fillings you prefer)
Method:
1. Place 3/4 of the can of beans into a bowl, add the 3 different pastes and mash. Add the onion and mix. Then add the 1/4 of the left over beans and mix well. Shape into patties, place on a sheet of baking paper and allow to sit in the fridge for 10-15minutes.
2. Heat a pan with oil, and fry patties until brown on both sides- serve on buns with salad of your choice- and top with bbq sauce! Serve with kumara (sweet potato) chips if desired!
Note- the burgers will be fragile so may break apart in the pan- so make sure to handle carefully!
 That is really it!!
This recipe is super super simple, and healthy too! Black beans are low in fat, but high in protein, fibre, and iron!
If you make these definitely let me know! Would love to know how they turned out!
